Phase 1 is largely single-owner villas, so the whole terrace belongs to one owner and the DHBVN net-metering file goes directly against that owner's connection with no association NOC in the loop. Where a plot has been built out as separate builder floors, we take a signed no-objection from the other floor owners before survey, because DHBVN energises a net meter only when terrace ownership is undisputed.

What size solar system do homes in DLF Phase 1 actually need?
Most independent villas & builder floors in DLF Phase 1 run connected loads well past what a 3 kW subsidy system covers — central air conditioning, lifts or pumps, and increasingly a car on charge overnight.
We size to the sanctioned load and the last twelve months of billing, which in this area typically lands around 15 kW rather than the subsidy-capped default. At that size the installed cost works out to roughly ₹9,40,000, because the system is engineered to the load instead of to a subsidy ceiling.
Can rooftop solar charge my EV in DLF Phase 1?
Yes, and it is usually the single strongest reason to size up here.
A car driven 1,100 km a month at about 6.5 km per kWh, plus charging losses, draws roughly 186 units a month — around ₹1,302 of DHBVN electricity at ₹7/unit. Does net metering cap how large a system I can install in DLF Phase 1?
Effectively, yes. DHBVN sanctions a net meter against your sanctioned load, not against your roof area, so a 15 kW array needs the sanctioned load raised to match before the file is accepted.
The enhancement is applied for at DHBVN — Gurugram (Sub-Urban) sub-division, Sikanderpur / DLF Galleria feeder, and it runs in parallel with the net-metering application rather than after it. Bridgeway checks your sanctioned load at the free survey and files both together, which is what keeps commissioning from stalling on paperwork.
Do I need a three-phase connection for a 15 kW system?
Above roughly 8 kW, Delhi NCR DISCOMs require a three-phase service, so a 15 kW system in DLF Phase 1 is a three-phase install.
Many independent houses here are already three-phase for air conditioning and pumps; where the connection is still single-phase, the conversion is a standard DISCOM application handled alongside the load enhancement. The inverter is specified three-phase from the start so nothing has to be swapped later.
How much roof does a 15 kW system with an EV charger need in DLF Phase 1?
Plan for about 100 sq ft of shadow-free area per kW, so roughly 1,500 sq ft for 15 kW.

Why doesn't the PM Surya Ghar subsidy matter much at this size?
The central subsidy is capped near the 3 kW mark, so on a 15 kW system it covers a small fraction of the cost while binding the design to subsidy-eligible equipment and timelines.
Haryana adds no state top-up, so the central amount is the whole of it. Skipping it lets us buy on price and specification instead, which is worth about ₹6,000 per kW off the installed rate — more than the subsidy returns at this scale. Net metering, which is where the real economics sit, is unaffected either way.
